Last year, we collected a total of 22,865 pounds of food (that's a 45% increase from 2023)! This is estimated to provide over 18,000 meals to those in need. Thank you to those who have donated and the branch staff who helped support the food drive all year long.
Want to donate? You can drop off non-perishable food donations at any of our branches. How’s that for convenience?
We hope you’ll join us in giving back by hosting your own food drive.
Being a good neighbor is important to us. That's why we make it our mission to support our community throughout the year with our food and toy drives. You'll also see us out and about teaching financial education.
We accept healthy, non-perishable food items. ACCFB suggests canned entrees (chili, ravioli, etc.), boxed mac & cheese, canned meat and tuna, and low-sodium canned soups.
How much food can I donate at the branch?
1st United can accept up to a barrel full of food. If you have more than this, please contact ACCFB to coordinate food pick up.
What's the last date I can drop off food at 1st United branches?
1st United will be accepting food donations throughout the year. Our hope is that the convenient location of our branches will encourage community members to participate more often.
